Ebisu Fringe Hobo

Searching for a unique fringe handbag style to review can sometimes be like trying to find a needle in a haystack, but some bags, like this Ebisu Fringe Hobo, sticks out so much that you can’t help but pick it out from the lineup. Unfortunately, it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Where should we start? The product writeup says that the bag above is blue, but it’s such an in-the-middle of green and blue color that it ended up being a sad, faded shade. The other available color, purple, isn’t any better:

Are those streaks of darker purple on the handbag’s material?

There is another version of this handbag called the Ebisu STUDS and Fringe Hobo OH0143:

Aside from the color, can you can spot the difference? No really, tell us if you can spot the difference because we can’t.

Of course, we can’t review this bag without mentioning the fringe so here goes: they look like limp noodles. They’re not doing anything for the handbag and the diagonal placement makes the fringe fall so unflatteringly. This might’ve worked if the fringe was a bit thicker, like on the Prada Napa Fringe Hobo that we wrote about, but the thin fringes on the Ebisu Fringe Hobo cheapens the whole look.

If you actually kind of like this bag and think you can make it work, then purchase it at Bagsbuy.com for $47.95 and $59.95 for the “with studs” version.
