We’re fans of fringe that veer away from the common stringy look, so we were automatically drawn to this new couture brand handbag arrival over at Zappos.com:
The leather flaps are so thickly cut that if it weren’t for the uneven placement, the fringe effect would be totally lost. We’re liking the unusual flap fringes, however, we think that this bag is better appreciated up close and personal. The black on black tones unwittingly hide the other important design details of the bag, such as the gathered leather handles and the roomy bucket platform bottom. You might be able to see them clearly in real life, but they’re just so lost on the bag especially from afar.
Bulga Handbags seems to have solved this problem in their other flap fringe bags though, simply by adding studs. The studs not only bring out the flap designs, but also let the other design details “float”:
We don’t know why they didn’t do this for every bag, considering that studs is a major trend in handbags right now.
Out of all these Bulga flap fringe bags, we’re going to declare the Riva the best one, just because it has both the well-placed studded accents AND the gorgeous gathered leather shoulder straps. They’re the most expensive though -buying one will set you back $629.00 a piece.
