Jessica Alba is a total fashion hit in these pictures of her over at YourNextShoes.com.:

Jessica Alba at the Tribeca Film Festival Program Launch (March 23)

Jessica Alba in Proenza Schouler

The 29-year old actress looked fresh and comfortable in a Proenza Schouler dress and Proenza Schouler wedges at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival party held at the W Hollywood Hotel in California last March 23. The minidress and the high heel ankle boot combination often only looks good on younger women, but the slim and youthful Jessica Alba can pull it off, no problem.

Jessica is no doubt drop dead gorgeous in this getup, but there was one teeny tiny thing that kind of ruined it for me:

That huge white leather clutch she used to accessorize with.

No wonder Jessica chose to pose without that clutch in most of her pictures. It’s just so off with the rest of her fabulous outfit. If you look at the closeup pictures of Jessica Alba at this event, you’ll see that she carefully color-coordinated everything from her makeup to her dress down to the color of her toenails. So when compared to the rest of that, that white leather clutch only seems like a hurried afterthought just so that Jessica would have something to put her stuff in.

Since Jessica Alba’s getup is sci-fi/animal-themed, these fringe clutches – some with animal fur-like fringe – would have been better choices for Jessica’s Proenza Schouler outfit:

Rebecca Minkoff Python Passion Clutch, $295.00

If the previous one is too matchy-matchy, how’s this Olivia Harris by Joy Gryson Studded Chain Clutch? $299.00.

This Charlie My Love Cheyenne Bag would match Jessica Alba’s shoes. $325.00.

What kind of clutch would you have used with that Proenza Schouler outfit?

Like any other 17-year old, Miley Cyrus loves to experiment with her clothes and accessories. But unlike most 17-year olds, Miley can afford to change her entire wardrobe everyday if she wanted to.

Apparently tired of the grungy plaids, blacks, and combat boots she’s been seen wearing for the past few weeks, Miley has now chosen a very colorful patchwork oversized tote as the flavor of the month. She’s been spotted carrying the multi-hued, mirrored, pompom-ed hobo bag to at least 4 different photo ops, all just this March:

March 12, 2010 – Miley visits Serendipity 3 in New York with mom and sister

March 12, 2010 – Miley goes to the Gemini 14 Salon in Manhattan

March 22, 2010 – Miley grabs a bite to eat at Cafe Metro

March 22, 2010 – Miley waves to fans as she leaves the ABC Studios after guesting on “Good Morning, America”

When Miley loves something, she’s really obsessed with it.

The bag alone is gaudy, what with the mismatched shades of pink, blues, oranges, reds, and greens. The metallic disc fringe on the front of the bag is already a lot to take in but this bag’s designer didn’t think that was enough and added fluffy pink pompom balls all over it.

Just looking at the bag hurts my eyes but you know what? I think it actually looks good on Miley. This bag would most likely be considered a fashion disaster on other female celebs but with Miley’s bubbly personality and tender age, she pulls off the loud-colored oversized tote perfectly well.

I don’t think I could pull off a bag exactly like Miley’s, but here are mirror disc totes in toned-down colors and styles:

Marc by Marc Jacobs Party Girl Tribal Pixie Bucket Bag, $398.00

Diane von Furstenberg Peggy Wrap Bag, $950.00

Antik Batik Clami Pouch, $208.00

Do you like the toned-down totes or do you prefer Miley’s bag?

Latico Le Cirque Leather Fringe Clutch

As much as we love fringe purses here at FringeHandbags, unfortunately, not all handbags are made equal.

Take the Latico Le Cirque Leather Fringe Clutch 2615 for example:

Latico Le Cirque Leather Fringe Clutch 2615

You can see where this bag was going. It’s got 7.5″ x .5″ x 10.5″ dimensions that makes it big for a clutch but it’s small enough to still be called a clutch. It’s compact enough to carry under your arm but it’ll definitely be able to hold more than just your cellphone, a credit card, and maybe a tube of lipstick. It’s also got a hand slot in a nice contrasting color and that’ll let you tote around this clutch comfortably in your hand.

Some thought was put into the design of this bag but it ended at the part when they decided to attach those fringes:

What is going on there?

The fringes are in the form of loops and they’re all supposed to be hanging straight down, but what are all those extra fringes for? Why are there fringe loops that look like they’re coming from everywhere? And what are those stringy wire-like fringes supposed to be?

Coupled with the mismatched browns, reds, greens, and blues, this handbag is fringe gone crazy.

The product description says that the Latico Le Cirque Leather Fringe Clutch 2615 is a one-of-a-kind creation and one-of-a-kind it is. If the messy and misaligned fringes on this purse appeals to you, then you can get it at Bagsbuy.com for $97.95.
