I did some sleuthing again and thanks to another hi-res photo from a Vanessa Hudgens fan site, a close-up of the tag on Vanessa’s bag revealed that it’s from Cole Haan.

It was easy enough to find after that and I’ve ID’ed Vanessa Hudgens’ tan cross body flap bag with side fringe tassels as the Cole Haan Raleigh Whipstitch Small Crossbody Flap:

This luxe crossbody flap bag is made out of pebbled nubuck and the whipstitching was made entirely by hand. It’s a perfect match for Vanessa Hudgen’s boho chic style and would be great for travelling or for just running to the store like how Vanessa uses it.

If you want the exact color of Vanessa Hudgens bag, Endless.com has it for $298.00. If you want other colors, Zappos.com has three and they’re also offering better deals on them. So it’s been more than seven months since Ashley Greene used her Gucci Indy Bag last. It’s nice to see that she’s resurrected an old favorite bag of hers and a fringed one at that.

The Gucci Indy Bag actually didn’t get favorable reviews when it was released in 2008, but I think Ashley has got one of the prettier ones. There’s an Indy Bag with the ugly Gucci monogram, one that’s overstudded, and one that’s got weird embroidery all over it, but Ashley’s Indy in just plain, rich, brown leather is chic and classy. No wonder Ashley keeps using it over and over again.

The Gucci Indy Bag isn’t available online anymore but fringe tassel bags like the Indy are pretty easy to find. Here are four of the hundreds I came across on online stores:

The combination of the short fringe tassels and the eyelets on the handbags has a repulsive, almost grotesque effect on me. They make the handbag look alive, like a living creature that crawled out of a deep, dark hole. Nevertheless, I still can’t stop staring and that’s sort of a good thing in fashion right? It makes people talk about it, give it publicity, even if what they’re saying is negative. And as the old saying goes, there’s no such thing as bad publicity.
