Jenna Dewan’s Loopy Moni Moni Cascade Bag

I like it when celebrity gossip sites identify the clothes and accessories celebrities are wearing in paparazzi pictures because it makes things a whole lot easier. Jenna Dewan for example, was seen shopping with husband Channing Tatum last Sunday while carrying a Moni Moni Cascade Bag:

This is Jenna Dewan’s bag by the way, in “Fauve”:

Jenna Dewan’s exact color isn’t available anymore but they do have it in black. This bag retails for $550.00 at MoniMoni.com.

Although finding a similar alternative to this bag is a bit difficult, it does remind me of a few bags we’ve featured here on Fringe Handbags before.

First is the Cleobella Alive Fringe Tote Kim Kardashian is modelling in this post. It’s got the similar taupe color and the same all-over fringe placement.

Second is the flap fringe bags from Bulga Handbags. The Bulga Handbags don’t have fringe loops, but they do have swathes of fabric covering the front and back of the bags.

Lastly, it reminds me of the Latico Le Cirque Leather Fringe Clutch but ONLY because of the fringe loops and nothing else. The fringe loops on the Moni Moni bag look buttery soft while the fringe loops on the Latico Le Cirque clutch looks like they’ve gone haywire.

Fringe loops on handbags is starting to grow on me but I still have that fear of them getting caught on door handles and what not while I’m using one. Maybe if they were shorter like on this Betsey Johnson Looped Together Drawstring Bag:

But I guess you lose the beautiful cascading effect.

The Betsey Johnson Looped Together Drawstring Bag is $332.00 and comes in black, pink and white at Zappos.com.

Flap Fringe Bags from Bulga Handbags

We’re fans of fringe that veer away from the common stringy look, so we were automatically drawn to this new couture brand handbag arrival over at Zappos.com:

The leather flaps are so thickly cut that if it weren’t for the uneven placement, the fringe effect would be totally lost. We’re liking the unusual flap fringes, however, we think that this bag is better appreciated up close and personal. The black on black tones unwittingly hide the other important design details of the bag, such as the gathered leather handles and the roomy bucket platform bottom. You might be able to see them clearly in real life, but they’re just so lost on the bag especially from afar.

Bulga Handbags seems to have solved this problem in their other flap fringe bags though, simply by adding studs. The studs not only bring out the flap designs, but also let the other design details “float”:

Bulga Handbags Riva

We don’t know why they didn’t do this for every bag, considering that studs is a major trend in handbags right now.

Out of all these Bulga flap fringe bags, we’re going to declare the Riva the best one, just because it has both the well-placed studded accents AND the gorgeous gathered leather shoulder straps.  They’re the most expensive though -buying one will set you back $629.00 a piece.
